Our Story
The Gabrielle Centre for Children was founded by Sarah Turner (Speech Pathologist) and Linda Collier (Occupational Therapist) in 2011. Both Sarah and Linda have over 20 years of experience in paediatric therapy and have worked in both the public and private sectors.
The Gabrielle Centre for Children was established due to a need for skilled and passionate therapists in the lower Blue Mountains. The name The Gabrielle Centre for Children was chosen to honour a good friend who was born and raised in the Blue Mountains, but whose life was tragically cut short. Gabrielle dedicated her career to the care and treatment of children. She worked in nursing children in paediatric oncology, neurology and disabilities. Her love and dedication to children and childhood development have inspired us as therapists.
