Elise Harley

Elise is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over 10 years’ experience supporting Autistic children and children with developmental delays, ADHD, and behavioural differences. She works from a strengths-based, sensory integration and relationship-focused approach, valuing each child’s individuality. Elise is passionate about holistic, trauma-informed practice and partners closely with families to create safe, empowering environments that support meaningful and lasting change. Elise joined the GCFC in 2025.

Elise's Story

Elise is a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting Autistic children and children with developmental delays, behavioural differences, and ADHD. She works from a strengths-based perspective, valuing each child’s unique abilities and using these as the foundation for growth, development, and meaningful change.

Elise is passionate about helping children reach their individual goals—whether that involves supporting sensory processing to enhance participation and daily functioning, fostering social-emotional development, or building motor skills. She takes a holistic and compassionate approach, recognising the important role of relationships, environments, and nervous system regulation in a child’s development

.

Grounded in sensory integration and relationship-based frameworks, Elise tailors her interventions to suit the individual needs of each child she works with. She understands the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment, informed by trauma-sensitive practices, to support children in reaching their full potential and transform their journey. Elise values family perspectives and works as a partner in empowering children within their natural environments.

 

Elise has extensive training and is deeply committed to working collaboratively with families to create supportive, empowering pathways that lead to positive and lasting outcomes for children and those who care for them.
