Kassie Sharun
Kassandra is thrilled to have embarked on her journey as a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (Sport Science) with a minor in Community Rehabilitation from the University of Calgary, followed by the successful completion of a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta in Canada.
Kassie's Story
Throughout her academic journey, she has honed her skills through diverse clinical placements. These experiences have encompassed leadership roles, paediatrics, mental health, and mild traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. However, her heart has always been with the little ones. Her passion for paediatric care ignited at the young age of 16, and it has continued to burn brightly ever since.
Her mission as a paediatric OT is to provide neurodiversity-affirming care. She firmly believes that every child is unique and should be celebrated for their individuality. She is dedicated to equipping children with the tools they need to thrive in a variety of environments, tailoring therapy plans to meet their specific needs and goals.
In her practice, she values both verbal and nonverbal communication. She understands that effective communication is vital for establishing trust and delivering patient-centered care. She works closely with children, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy.
