Laura Mondy
Laura graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts
(Psychology). She continued to study and completed a Bachelor of Social Science- Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Sydney.
Laura's Story
Laura is a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma informed occupational
therapist who enjoys helping her clients to understand and develop their
unique strengths and abilities while supporting them in finding ways to
participate comfortably and authentically in the activities that are
meaningful to them. Laura practices from a strengths-based and interest
driven approach and aims to empower clients and families to identify and
advocate for their needs in order to promote independence, self-acceptance
and wellbeing.

Laura has worked in a range of private clinic, home, school, mental health,
and community health settings. She has experience working with children,
teenagers and young adults to develop skills across a range of areas
including emotional regulation, interoceptive awareness, handwriting,
sensory processing, perspective-taking, motor skills, self-care skills,
independent living skills, self-advocacy, executive functioning and
compensatory or adaptive strategies. She is committed to working in
collaborative partnerships with families and other professionals to help her
clients reach their goals.
