Hayley graduated from The University of Sydney in 2008 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy). She began her career in a private paediatric clinic, where she received direct clinical mentoring and developed a strong interest in sensory processing, early development, regulation and relationship-based therapy.

In 2011, Hayley established her own paediatric occupational therapy practice on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Since then, she has continued to support children and families across private clinic, school and community settings, including working within the Department of Education.

​

Hayley is passionate about understanding each child’s individual strengths, needs and developmental profile. Her approach is play-based, family-centred and relationship-focused, with a strong emphasis on helping children feel safe, connected and confident. She seeks to understand the sensory, motor, emotional and developmental factors underlying a child’s participation and works collaboratively with families, educators and other professionals to develop practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.

Hayley has particular clinical interests in sensory processing and regulation, DIR®/Floortime™, interoception and body awareness, vestibular and visual processing, motor development, postural control, praxis, fine motor and handwriting skills, school participation and sound-based therapeutic approaches.

Hayley joined The Gabrielle Centre for Children in 2026. She is excited to once again be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team and values the opportunity to collaborate with other experienced clinicians to provide thoughtful and individualised support to children and their families.

Outside of work, Hayley lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with her husband and their two young boys. She enjoys travelling, spending time at the beach, continuing to learn and spending time with family and friends.
