Grace Teagle
Grace joined the GCFC at the start of 2024. Grace graduated from Australian Catholic University in 2023 with a Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy.
Grace's Story
Growing up locally within the community, Grace’s passion for working with children began while studying and providing community support to children with disabilities. This early experience shaped her ongoing commitment to delivering neuroaffirming, family-centred care as an occupational therapist.
Her approach is grounded in connection and play, recognising that children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and supported.
Grace works closely with families to develop meaningful, functional goals and to support children to build confidence, regulation, and skills for participation in everyday life. Therapy is tailored to each child and family, ensuring sessions are engaging, strengths-based, and responsive to what matters most to them.
Over the last few years Grace has completed the following training:
-
PowerUp for Participation presented by Sheila Frick
-
Camp Jabiru Practicum Program presented by Tracy Stackhouse and Lynette Burke
-
Playfulness and Its neural correlates in Occupational Therapy by Anita Bundy and Shelly Lane
-
Polyvagal Theory and Embodied Sensory-Motor-Relational Intervention - Tracy Stackhouse and Hannah Burke
